Even for such companies that have been around for a long time, there are new obstacles such as modernizing, rising salaries, shrinking workforce, supply issues, and increased competition from other businesses, both local and national.
And yet, so many make it work and not only survive, but thrive. Credit their energy, talent, intelligence and perseverance – the qualities shared by most successful business leaders.
With this issue, CPBJ recognizes and celebrates families who demonstrate those qualities and put them to use in building prosperous companies. Environmental Cleaning Solutions, Inc. is a second-generation family-owned business based in Annville. Founded in 1989, Environmental Cleaning Solutions, Inc. serves customers locally and across 12 states.
Headquartered in Mechanicsburg, Solar Renewable Energy LLC has financed, developed and installed over 250 solar energy systems, generating over 50 megawatts total output annually in the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast region of the United States.
Founded by Bob Langan in 1985, Langan Financial Group is a family-owned financial planning firm located in Harrisburg.
Headquartered in Harrisburg, D&H Distributing Co. is a leading technology and electronics goods merchant wholesale distributor.
DavCo Advertising Inc. is a comprehensive provider of commercial printing, promotional products, decorated apparel, graphic design and mailing services. The company was founded by Dave Esh in 1974 after he developed printing as a hobby.
Located in Chambersburg, Stouffer Mechanical Contractor LLC specializes in high-end solutions for custom and integration projects including HVAC, fabrication and welding, plumbing and more. The company has been family owned and operated since its founding in 1999.
Founded in 1934, Covenant Insurance Group Inc. is an independent insurance agency representing a full line of insurance, bonds, group benefits, and risk management services for personal and commercial clients. With offices in York, Lewisberry and Souderton, Covenant Insurance Group Inc., aims to invest in South Central Pennsylvania.
Based in Lancaster, Charles F. Snyder Funeral Homes & Crematory Inc. opened its original location on East King Street in Lancaster City in 1947. In 1975, Charles F. “Chip” Snyder, Jr. joined the family business, learning under his father before becoming President in 1988.
