Charles F. Snyder Funeral Homes & Crematory Inc.
Based in Lancaster, Charles F. Snyder Funeral Homes & Crematory Inc. opened its original location on East King Street in Lancaster City in 1947. In 1975, Charles F. “Chip” Snyder, Jr. joined the family business, learning under his father before becoming President in 1988.
In the decades since its founding, the organization has expanded to host funeral homes across Lancaster County, with locations in Lititz, Millersville, Strasburg and Willow Street. The company has been family-owned and operated for 75 year.
“That is a rare thing in the funeral home industry, as more and more family and independently-owned homes are being bought and operated by large national funeral home providers,” the company stated on its website. “Being family owned means we are accountable to our customers, and that they have a direct connection to the ownership.”
