Roth J. Preap
Through Roth J. Preap’s efforts as grants program officer at the York County Community Foundation, he supports
the community by providing high impact grants to nonprofit organizations to create positive change in York
County. Working as the operations and personnel manager at the York Youth Symphony Orchestra, the trained
classical pianist has the opportunity to support young musicians to build their overall musicianship and
professional development. Preap also works part time as an accompanist for the Bethany United Methodist
Church choir.
“I understand that I have more to learn and complete during my lifetime,” Preap said. “I don’t have all the
answers but will work hard to find them. I am persistent, driven, and grateful for the opportunities I have had.
All of these opportunities have helped me to find new avenues of working with the community.”
Preap is active in the community including volunteering for KableHouse Presents — an independent concert
series in York County and the York Story Slam. He is also a volunteer and evaluator for artist development
grants at the Cultural Alliance of York County and a committee member for York Arts Week,
Building Future
Leaders of York and Make Music Day (York).
