Joseph J. Wysock III
As Director of Plant Operations for Lancaster Behavioral Health Hospital, Joseph P. Wysock III knows being a
department leader means stepping in wherever needed to make sure the team is managing the everyday
challenges without issues. “Bringing a positive attitude to work and working together as a team will always get
the job done in a measure that is way more appreciated than a team of negative attitudes working individually,”
he said.
Earning a Master of Business Administration from Lebanon Valley College and a Bachelor of Applied Science
degree from Pennsylvania College of Technology, Wysock served as a project manager for Benchmark
Construction for five years. He later was construction project manager for Penn State Health and then planning
and construction project manager for Penn Medicine respectively. Since 2018, he has been the Director of Plant
Operations at Lancaster Behavioral Health Hospital.
After earning an associate of applied science degree from Thaddeus Stevens College, he became more heavily
involved in the Lancaster-based school. A board member for the school’s alumni association for a decade, he
became president this year. He also served as vice president of the school’s foundation for seven years and has
been a member of the board for a decade. Earlier this year, Wysock was named a college trustee. He had also
previously served the school as an assistant football coach for nearly five years.
“Thaddeus Stevens College can be a resource of hope in the middle of the Lancaster community,” he said.
