Michelle Mowrer executes Members 1st Federal Credit Union’s strategic plan for the Shippensburg, Carlisle,
Hanover and Gettysburg area by providing leadership and guidance to branch managers and assistant branch
managers, acting as the key decision maker and leader in branch operations in the attainment of sales goals
and strategic initiatives.
“I stand out from my peers because I am strong in analytics, which allows me to develop detailed plans to
help my team understand the ‘why’ behind their efforts and has been proven to be successful in the growth of
my branches,” she said.
George Nahodil, president and CEO of Members 1st, lauded Mowrer for mentoring others.
“The credit union has a leadership development program called STAR (Striving to Achieve Results) that she
has taken a formal role in by participating as a mentor to fellow associates outside of her own team,” he said.
“She participated in the credit union’s leadership development program as an advisor to provide support to a
mentor and mentee while creating a formal development plan for the mentee to grow and advance. She also
sits on our women in leadership associate resource group as a co-chair for the mentoring committee to help the
credit union enhance its focus on promoting women in leadership roles.”
Mowrer has served on boards and committees with Hanover Area Young Professionals, BNI Hanover, YWCA of
Hanover, Main Street Hanover, Children’s Aide Society, Junior Achievement and Hanover Area Chamber of
Commerce. She also volunteers with PA Caring for K-9s.
