Sadler Health Center appointed Manal El Harrak as interim CEO in 2019 and then chief executive in 2020 after she served as chief operating officer and director of quality and risk management at the company over the course of four years.
El Harrak leads the Cumberland and Perry counties-based Federally Qualified Health Center organization in an effort to enhance accessibility to quality primary, dental and behavioral health care.
In the year ahead, El Harrak’s role will be shaped by navigating a rapidly changing policy landscape while ensuring her team stays grounded in their mission and responds to the needs of the patients and communities they serve. “Balancing increasing patient demand and the growing uncertainty related to Medicaid enrollment changes and reimbursement stability—with increasing expectations for workforce and technology—will require strategic foresight and careful planning,” said El Harrak.
Two years after opening their center serving lower-income patients in Mechanicsburg, the West Shore area of greater Harrisburg, El Harrak has witnessed the team’s ability to “stay focused, collaborative, and disciplined despite workforce, financial, and operational pressures.” She added, “Advancing this transformative expansion has enabled us to deliver services to thousands of new patients, across a wide array of services, all while maintaining our core commitment to quality and affordability.”
