Lancaster County restaurant earns USA TODAY ranking

A has earned a USA TODAY ranking. 

 has been named the No. 3 Best Buffet Restaurant in the United States in the . It’s the fourth straight year Miller’s has earned a spot in the national top three. 

“To be ranked among the best buffet restaurants in America for four consecutive years—and to remain in the top three every year—is a tremendous honor,” Tom Neely, CEO of Thomas E. Strauss, Inc., which operates Miller’s Smorgasbord, said in a statement. “Miller’s has always been about more than a meal. It is about hospitality, tradition, and giving guests a genuine taste of Lancaster County. We are grateful to USA TODAY 10Best, to everyone who voted, and especially to the dedicated Miller’s team members who make this kind of recognition possible.” 

The national recognition places Miller’s Smorgasbord among the country’s top buffet restaurants, as selected by public vote after nominees were curated by a panel of subject matter experts and USA TODAY 10Best editors. 

Opened in 1929, Miller’s Smorgasbord is Lancaster’s first and oldest smorgasbord. According to a release, the restaurant is known for its traditional smorgasbord, featuring a wide variety of Dutch dishes, locally inspired recipes and made-from-scratch desserts. 

The 2026 USA TODAY 10Best Readers’ Choice Award winners for Best Buffet Restaurant include Shady Maple Smorgasbord, Der Dutchman, Miller’s Smorgasbord, Brooks Shaw’s Old Country Store, Jeong Won BBQ Buffet, Terra Mediterranean, Mrs. Yoder’s Kitchen, Michie Tavern, Tomato Cafe and Cinzzetti’s Italian Feast.
