The combined total revenue generated from all forms of gaming including fantasy contests during April was $594,978,674, which was 6.49% above revenue generated in April 2025. The resulting during April of this year was $255,257,991.  

Types of gaming regulated by the agency are slot machines and in , internet gaming, , fantasy contests, and  (VGTs). 

Retail slot machines’ revenue in April was $206,672,817, representing a 1.76% increase in revenue over the $203,094,831 generated in April 2025. The number of slot machines in operation in April 2026 was 24,856 compared to 24,363 at the casinos in April 2025. Tax revenue from the play of slot machines this April was $105,121,104. 

The month’s retail table games revenue was $78,698,921, representing a decrease of 2.36% from April 2025 when revenue was $80,604,940. Total tax revenue from the play of table games during April 2026 was $13,346,376. 

generated $245,778,103 during April 2026. Compared to revenue of $227,708,892 a year ago at this time, this represents an increase of 7.94%. Tax revenue generated from iGaming during April 2026 was $113,469,064. 

April 2026 total sports wagering handle was $641,566,630, a 9.84% decrease from the April 2025 handle of $711,569,216. The taxable revenue figure for April 2026 was $58,953,160, which was 38.60% higher when compared to the April 2025 taxable revenue of $42,533,444. Tax revenue generated from sports wagering during April 2026 was $21,223,138. 

Total adjusted revenue for April 2026 for VGTs was $3,694,483, a 4.99% increase over the April 2025 revenue of $3,518,821. By the end of April 2026, all VGT Operators offered the maximum permitted five machines at each of the 76 qualified truck stop establishments, compared to five machines at each of the 72 establishments at this time last year. 

The month’s fantasy contests revenue was $1,181,191, a decrease of 6.03% from the April 2025 revenue of $1,256,994. Tax revenue collected from fantasy contests in April 2026 was $177,179. 

The PGCB oversees all aspects of gambling involving 18 land-based casinos, online casino games, retail and online sports wagering, and VGTs at qualified truck stops, along with the regulation of online fantasy sports contests. 

The land-based casino industry in Pennsylvania consists of six racetrack (Category 1) casinos, five stand-alone (Category 2) casinos, two resort (Category 3) casinos and five mini-casinos (Category 4). A significant job generator, casinos and the other types of Board-regulated gaming returned $2.98 billion in tax revenue and fees to Pennsylvanians in 2026.
