The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board will soon begin accepting petitions from casino operators looking to become Qualified Gaming Entities. 

Revenue from all types of gaming across the state reached its highest level in a single month in March.

Slot machine revenue was up for fiscal year 2018-2019 among Pennsylvania’s 12 casinos. The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board reported a 1.1 percent increase in slot revenue over the 2017-2018 fiscal year.

Pennsylvania's horse-racing industry saw track attendance fall 15 percent last year after years of steady decline. Betting also dipped by 5 percent last year in what the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board described as a "challenging" year for the industry.

Pennsylvania casinos posted a record $309 million in gaming revenue last month. That record March included a 23 percent increase in table games revenue at the Sands Casino Resort Bethlehem.
