Matthew Steck said the increased divisiveness within Pennsylvania Government, particularly post-pandemic, has created an even wider gap between Republicans and Democrats on policy issues. “While lobbying for clients on multiple issues, it is imperative to meet with policymakers and their staff in-person to understand these differences and talk about the real concerns facing their constituents. You cannot achieve personal and productive interaction and understanding virtually; our work is done in the capitol,” Steck said.
He has been in his current position for 34 years.
Steck said he is humbled to have great clients and colleagues covering a wide variety of issues from healthcare, insurance, law enforcement, transportation, job creation and education. “Our most exciting work is helping those clients achieve their goals and creating opportunities for residents of this great commonwealth to pursue their dreams. Starting out assisting constituents in the Senate of Pennsylvania back in the early 1980’s, I get great satisfaction in helping people navigate state government,” he said.
