Triton Sensors
Triton Sensors is an industry leader in smart environmental sensors, with devices deployed in hundreds of locations across all 50 U.S. states and 23 countries, they said. Their technology detects vaping, drug use, crowding, aggression, and more—especially in private spaces like school bathrooms, where traditional security tools like cameras can’t be used.
“We founded Triton after seeing our friends struggle with vaping addiction,” co-founders Lance Parthemore, Jack Guerrisi, and Garrison Parthemore said. “It started as an entry in the PA Governor’s STEM Competition and became a real company during the pandemic.”
At first, the founders faced skepticism. “Building name recognition has been tough in the security world—it’s dominated by large, established players,” they said. “We’ve had to prove ourselves through consistent results and customer service.”
Triton’s sensors are now used by the two largest school districts in the U.S., as well as in international schools, hospitals, and public buildings. The team said they are especially proud of the real-life impact their technology has had.
“We’ve heard from administrators and parents who say our sensors helped prevent fights, deter drug use, and even identify students in crisis who needed support,” they said.
