The Foundation for Enhancing Communities () is sponsoring five nonprofit leaders in for executive leadership programs through The High Center for .

Through the partnership, TFEC is helping remove financial barriers to participation by sponsoring nonprofit leaders selected for The High Center’s executive peer groups and leadership development opportunities, according to a release. The program is designed to strengthen nonprofit leadership through practical learning, peer connection and collaboration.

“Because strong communities depend on strong leadership, TFEC is committed to investing in nonprofit leaders who are addressing critical needs across our region,” Stefani McAuliffe, vice president of community impact at TFEC, said in a statement. “These organizations are making a meaningful difference in the lives of local residents, and we are proud to support opportunities that strengthen their leadership, expand collaboration and build long-term community impact.”

The selected nonprofit leaders and organizations include:

  • Samara Scott, executive director of Beehive Affordable Housing Outreach, Inc.
  • Jeannetta Politis, executive director of The Joshua Group.
  • Rita Schaaf, executive director of Join Hands Ministry.
  • Logan Andrew Daily, executive director of Manada Conservancy.
  • Jeanna Som, executive director of Supportive Partnerships for Youth.

Participants were selected by The High Center based on their leadership potential and organizational impact. Participants will gain access to executive peer groups, leadership education and opportunities to collaborate with nonprofit professionals facing similar challenges across .

“Nonprofit executives often face unique challenges that require both innovative thinking and a strong support system,” said M. Travis DiNicola, nonprofit managing director for The High Center. “We look forward to expanding the High Center’s work with nonprofits in Central Pennsylvania to the Capital Region with this new group, and we are grateful to TFEC for recognizing how this investment in leadership will strengthen the entire community.”

Due to federal budget cuts, resources have become more constrained and demand for nonprofit services continues to increase. Per the release, TFEC views leadership development as a critical investment in sustaining organizations and the communities they serve.

TFEC has served the South-Central Pennsylvania counties of , , , Lebanon and Perry counties, and the Dillsburg Area for more than 100 years. 

Regional foundations of TFEC include the Greater Harrisburg Community Foundation, the , the , the Perry County Community Foundation and the .
