Downtown Inc announces return of outdoor dining in York

According to a release, the program will run every Saturday from May 2-Oct. 30 from 4:30 p.m.-10 p.m., and features al fresco dining along York‘s Restaurant Row on George St.
“Outdoor dining plays a vital role in creating a sense of place and bringing people together in Downtown York,” Director of Downtown Inc Sarah O’Brien said in a statement. “Outdoor Dining not only supports our local restaurants, but also helps foster community pride, encourages foot traffic, and creates a truly unique dining experience you can’t find anywhere else. It’s an opportunity for residents and visitors alike to connect with our downtown in a meaningful and memorable way.”
Participating restaurants include Tutoni’s, Rockfish Public House, Bloom Restaurant and Bar, and The Handsome Cab, offering curated menus and outdoor seating along George Street. The Garden at Gift Horse Brewing Company will feature live entertainment alongside Happy Camper Eats & Treats.
“Dining on George Street offers a unique experience for the more than 5 million people who visit York City each year,” said City of York Mayor Sandie Walker. “We are thrilled to welcome back this economic driver, and tourism marketing asset, to support our business community, and our residents.”
A not for profit organization, Downtown Inc encourages investment in Downtown York.
