Pa. to receive billions in infrastructure funding

is receiving more than $2.2 billion in funding, , D-Lehigh Valley, announced Wednesday. 

The investments will be used to fund repairs to roads and bridges and invest in electric vehicle chargers. 

“The Bipartisan Law is working to provide necessary restoration of the roads and bridges we rely on every day,” Wild said in a statement. “I was proud to help deliver this historic infrastructure investment that not only strengthens the Greater Lehigh Valley’s , but also improves the health and safety of our community.”

The resources Pennsylvania will receive from the for Fiscal Year 2024 include the following:

  • $1.9 billion for road replacements and improvements. 
  • $353 million to repair and rebuild bridges. 
  • $36.5 million to build electric vehicle chargers.

Over the next five years, Pennsylvania is expected to receive more than $13.2 billion for improvements to roads and bridges. The investments will be used to address the 3,350 bridges and 7,540 miles of state highway in need of repair.
