Orrstown Bank announces death of retiring board director
Gregory Rosenberry, who recently announced his retirement from the Orrstown Bank board of directors, has died. He was 64.
Rosenberry, who had served on the boards of directors for Shippensburg-based Orrstown Financial Services Corp. and it subsidiary Orrstown Bank, for 22 years, died on April 5, according to a filing with the U.S Securities and Exchange Commission.
Rosenberry had announced a decision to retire in March. His retirement would have been effective April 30, according to the SEC.
“Greg was a wonderful person. For more than two decades, he served the Orrstown Bank board with honor, humility and distinction. Greg’s insight, experience, and relationships were invaluable to the board. He was a great man, and we will miss him greatly. We will continue to keep his family in our thoughts and prayers,” Thomas R. Quinn Jr., Orrstown president and CEO, said in a statement via email.
Rosenberry had served as president and general manager of Franklin County-based Rosenberry Family Limited Partnership, a timber harvesting and wholesale, real estate, and securities investment business, according to a news release announcing his retirement.
He had also served as president and owner of Tri-Valley Forestry Inc. and a director, secretary and shareholder of Franklin County-based Rosenberry Brothers Lumber Inc.
Rosenberry lived in Fannettsburg and graduated from Fannett-Metal High School in 1972, according to his online obituary. He joined the U.S. Army in 1977 and continued his military career in the Army National Guard in aviation until 1990. Rosenberry is survived by his wife, Denise, and son, Connor, according to the obituary.
