The Goddard School has opened a new location in Lancaster.
Local parent Sowmya Surapaneni is partnering with the Goddard School franchisee to open an early childhood education center. Surapaneni has lived in Central Pennsylvania for more than 15 years. The Lancaster location is the third for Goddard School franchisee Leena Patel, who also owns The Goddard School of York and The Goddard School of Philadelphia–Spring Garden.
“As a parent who understands how critical these early, formative years are in shaping a child’s confidence, curiosity and love of learning, I am thrilled to bring The Goddard School experience to the Lancaster community,” Surapaneni said in a statement. “As we open our doors, our goal is to offer a school where children feel safe, supported and inspired every day, while giving families peace of mind that their child’s development is in great hands.”
Located at 715 Indian Springs Drive, the new 14,000 square-foot early childhood education center has 13 classrooms to accommodate approximately 175 students. The Goddard School features an indoor gymnasium and an outdoor classroom alongside multiple playgrounds. Additionally, the new school is equipped with hospital-grade sanitization equipment.
The Goddard School of Lancaster adds 40 teaching jobs to the community.
According to a release, The Goddard School’s education program Wonder of Learning, encourages children to explore their curiosities and interests as they learn. The school serves almost 100,000 students from six weeks to six years old in 38 states and Washington, D.C.
