The Goddard School, an early childhood education franchise, is scheduled to open its second location in Mechanicsburg.
The Goddard School of Mechanicsburg (Legacy Park) is the second location for Goddard School franchisee Nancy Goss, who has owned The Goddard School of Mechanicsburg since 2005.
“Witnessing the impact of The Goddard School experience on so many students over the years has been truly inspiring, setting a foundation for a love for learning and providing students the tools they need to take their next steps in school and in life,” Goss said in a statement. “We’re so excited to expand our presence in the Mechanicsburg community to continue to provide high-quality early childhood education in a safe, nurturing environment to even more families.”
The new school will be located at 100 Legacy Park Drive, Building F. According to a release, the 13,800-square-foot early childhood education center will have 10 classrooms to provide care for and educate approximately 180 students from ages six weeks to six years old. The new school will also add 22 teaching jobs to the community.
In addition, the new school will feature an indoor gymnasium, a dramatic arts space and a STEM room, as well as an outdoor classroom, a learning garden and multiple outdoor playgrounds. Additionally, the school will be equipped with hospital-grade sanitization equipment to ensure a healthy environment.
The Goddard School’s exclusive inquiry-based education program, Wonder of Learning, features a curriculum developed by educators, researchers, physicians, and early childhood experts, per the release.
