“I take part in overseeing our law firm’s practice group, focusing primarily on corporate law, creditor’s rights and real estate,” said JSDC’s Katie Mason. Her emphasis is on regulatory and transactional matters, according to her online bio.
“As a partner of a law firm that continues to grow and a wife and mother of two beautiful daughters (one who is autistic and has special needs), finding a balance between work and home is always a personal challenge,” said Mason who joined JSDC in 2013 after working as an attorney at Elliott Greenleaf and Stevens & Lee. “But I continue to set goals to maximize my efforts to do my best at both and am lucky to have incredible support from those around me.”
Asked what inspires her, Mason said she has been fortunate to meet “some of the most interesting, intelligent, diverse and inspiring individuals, both clients and colleagues alike, through my job. I am always looking forward to what the next day brings and am happy to be able to help others in a profession that is not always easy to navigate.”
