Barley Snyder
Jeff Lobach joined Barley Snyder in 1983, concentrating his law practice on business and real estate matters and counseling nonprofit organizations. In January, he concluded an unprecedented 10 years of service as the firm’s managing partner. Under his leadership, Barley Snyder expanded from a firm of 55 attorneys with five offices to one of nearly 140 attorneys with 11 offices. In April 2023, Lobach oversaw the addition of the Lebanon-based law firm Reilly Wolfson to Barley Snyder, a move that added eight attorneys, three paralegals and 15 staff members. The combination was the 10th successful strategic transaction undertaken during his tenure. Lobach attributes the firm’s successful growth over the years to the hard work and dedication of Barley Snyder’s team members. Lobach is continuing to serve clients, providing counsel to businesses, nonprofits and individuals.
Active in his community, Lobach serves on and led numerous boards and committees of local and regional organizations, including WellSpan Health, York County History Center, York County Community Foundation, Boy Scouts and others. One of the most notable community endeavors spearheaded by Lobach while president of the York County Bar Association was the “Golden Venture” effort, a four-year pro bono immigration project that garnered national attention and awards. The project ultimately led to the establishment of the Pennsylvania Immigration Resource Center based in York, which provides free legal services and education to help immigrants obtain or protect their legal status.
