Hummelstown company names new COO to support expansion
Hummelstown-based Flagger Force has appointed Josh Sargent as chief operating officer to support expansion.
The short-term traffic control company has operations across 15 states along the East Coast and in the Midwest.
“I’m excited to join Flagger Force at such an important time in the company’s growth,” Sargent said in a statement. “Throughout my career, I’ve believed that strong operations begin with supporting the people doing the work every day.
As chief operating officer, Sargent will oversee Field Operations and the Operations Services Center. According to a release, he will work with leaders across the organization to strengthen operational consistency, support field employees, enhance the client experience, and advance continuous improvement throughout the company.
“As Flagger Force continues to grow, we must remain proactive in building the leadership and operational capabilities needed to support our employees and clients,” said Mike Doner, president and CEO of Flagger Force. “Bringing Josh on as our chief operating officer is an important step in that journey. His experience, leadership approach, and understanding of field operations will help us build on the strong foundation already in place.”
Sargent has more than 27 years of experience leading utility construction operations. Per the release, his experience aligns with Flagger Force’s culture and vision.

I look forward to working alongside the Flagger Force team as we continue building on an already strong foundation.”
Flagger Force employs more than 3,000 people and operates over 1,000 active work zones daily.
