As managing shareholder for Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney, Jayson Wolfgang handles administrative oversight locally for about 40 of the firm’s lawyers, government relations professionals and staff. “My law practice includes representing various businesses such as insurers, health care entities and nonprofit corporations in commercial disputes, governance, administrative regulation and state government contracts,” he said. “I’ve been in practice for over 31 years and with Buchanan for over 26 years.”
In the last year, Wolfgang was tested by family health issues that required his undivided attention. “When I reflect on it, I see two key takeaways. First, by surrounding oneself with competent and compassionate colleagues to whom delegation can be entrusted, client needs can be met regardless of what life interrupts. Second, a common attribute among successful leaders is the ability to empathize with others when they are going through personal challenges; return the favor and pay it forward.”
