“As the creative director of my event management company, Reves Etheres Events LLC, I provide a one-stop shop for meetings and events be it corporate, personal or government,” said Emelia Makor. “I offer unique planning and design experiences to my clients, combining logistical precision with a keen eye for timeless yet chic aesthetics.” Founder of the nonprofit organization African Diaspora Initiative, Makor said its mission is to help connect Africans in the diaspora to the community in which they live and vice versa.
Launching African Diaspora Initiative was her most significant professional achievement last year, she said. “Our mission is in the central Pennsylvania region, where we work to build partnerships and collaborate with local organizations to create meaningful change. Through education, outreach and community engagement, we strive to empower Africans in the diaspora become leaders and active participants in their newly adopted home.”
