Accounting firm , located in south central Pennsylvania and Maryland, is set to acquire & Company, LLP (RBF) on Jan. 1.

RBF’s 24 team members will join Brown Plus in the merger, becoming part of the leading accounting and advisory firm headquartered in Camp Hill. Post-merger, Brown Plus will have a 166-person-strong team, including 22 principals. Current RBF partners, Sean Smith and Jeffrey Groff, will be joining Brown Plus as principals.

“When we decided on this merger, we knew that we wanted a firm that shared our client service philosophy and had a great culture, which made choosing Brown Plus an easy decision for us,” Jeffrey Bleacher, managing partner at RBF, said in a release. Bleacher, who is retiring upon the merger after 30 years at the company and 17 years as managing partner, added, “They are well-known in our community for caring for their clients and their people, which is what we want for the continued legacy of our firm.”

RBF first launched in 1985 and maintains strong roots in Lancaster County. Brown Plus intends to keep the RBF office, located at 1500 Lititz Pike in Lancaster, through the end of the 2026 tax season, after which it will integrate with the current Brown Plus Lancaster location at 454 New Holland Avenue.

“[RBF has] a track record of client success, but more than that, they share the same values that we do,” Ken Wolfe, president and managing principal at Brown Plus said in a release. “For us, this is a strategic acquisition to help us grow in the Lancaster market, strengthening our presence in the region while aligning with a firm that believes in caring for their people in the same way that we do.”
