Voith Hydro announced its new president/CEO in North America.
Uwe Zulehner will be based at Voith Hydro‘s North America regional headquarters in York and will lead the team in delivering innovative hydropower solutions and exceptional service across North America. According to a release, Zulehner brings more than 25 years of global leadership experience to the position and has a track record of operational excellence that will benefit Voith’s customers and employees.
“I’m inspired and energized by the dedication, collaboration and expertise of the Voith Hydro team,” Zulehner said in a statement. “Our vision is simple – to continue to be a trusted partner that provides a high level of excellence and quality to our customers.”
Prior to joining Voith, Zulehner served in C-level positions for large and medium sized global engineering and technology companies in the mining, metals and energy sector. Per the release, Zulehner drove sales, managed the execution of larger capital projects, and led the service and aftermarket segments of the business.
Zulehner has an Engineering background in mining, machinery and metallurgy. After completing his bachelor’s and master’s degrees, he worked and lived in Austria, Germany, Chile, China, Australia, and the United States.

Voith’s lineage in the United States dates to 1877. The company’s North America regional headquarters in York is one of the world’s largest dedicated hydropower equipment manufacturing facilities and the only one in the U.S. with a hydraulic laboratory.
