York hosting inaugural Small Business Showcase Walk

Downtown Inc and the BLOOM Empowerment Center announced the inaugural . 

The event is part of this year’s celebration of Global Week and highlights ‘s owners in advance of Small Business Saturday. 

Downtown Inc will host a guided showcase through three of ‘s microdistricts, visiting and interviewing business owners on Wednesday from 10 am-12 pm. This walk is presented in partnership with the , which provides technical support, accessible funding, and opportunities to help York’s entrepreneurs grow. According to the release, several of the businesses featured in this showcase have benefited from the BLOOM program. 

“Small businesses are the heartbeat of Downtown York,” Downtown Inc Director Sarah O’Brien said in a statement. “They bring energy, innovation, and character to our city, and we’re thrilled to shine a spotlight on the incredible entrepreneurs who continue to make York such a vibrant and inspiring place to live, work, and visit.” 

The walk begins in WeCo and continues through the and , featuring four distinct local businesses. The Small Business Showcase schedule is as follows: 

  • 10 am— Luxe & Mane (342 W. Market Street) 
  • 10:30 am — Sips Café (9 W. Philadelphia Street) 
  • 11 am— Glass Turtle (118 E. King Street) 
  • 11:30 am — Confidence Boutique (225 S. George Street) 

Downtown York is home to hundreds of small businesses, from boutique shops in the Market District to art galleries of Royal Square and galleries and bistros in the .
