York architecture firm Warehaus AE buys its office space
Warehaus AE, a local architecture, engineering and design firm that has called York home for the past 40 years, has purchased its office space at 231 N. George St.
This represents a significant investment for the award-winning business, which serves clients throughout the mid-Atlantic, and aligns with its corporate mission to be a collaborative design partner.
Formerly part of the Kinsley Enterprises family of companies, Warehaus “took its first step toward a new future,” a release said, when two long-term employees, CEO Troy Bankert and Chief Operating Officer David Koratich, took over ownership in April 2021.
Warehaus also “right-sized” its workspace in the spring of 2021 with the move to North George Street, on the first floor of the W. Latimer Small Building.
“It was critical that the business remain downtown, continue to support the local community, and find a space that accommodated Warehaus’ unique working style – with areas for team discussions, collaborative pin-up sessions and individual focus,” the release explained.
“Eighteen months later, the time was right to take ownership of the 231 N. George St. office and focus on growing the business in a permanent location.”
Bankert added: “Our investment in this office confirms our commitment to our employees and the York community. We are in an environment that is right-sized and brings our team closer together, with all the critical elements that allow our collaborative culture to thrive.”
