York architecture, engineering, and design firm Warehaus has acquired Johnston & Associates, a civil engineering firm serving clients across Pennsylvania and Maryland.
Since coming under the ownership of Troy Bankert, AIA, CEO and president, and David Koratich, COO, in 2021, Warehaus has focused on refining processes and building efficiencies while sustaining long-term client relationships, according to a release.
“This is an exciting milestone for our team,” Bankert said in a statement. “We are always growth-minded, and acquisition is one way to expand our capabilities while staying true to our values. Johnston and Associates has built an outstanding reputation for client service for more than three decades. It’s a natural fit that strengthens our foundation and positions us for continued success.”
Johnston & Associates was founded in 1988 by Eric Johnston. The firm serves clients through all facets of land development, including zoning, erosion control, environmental permitting, and wetland delineation.
“When I met with Warehaus, it immediately felt like a natural fit,” said Johnston. “They share our commitment to honest communication and relationships built on trust. This acquisition ensures our clients will continue to receive the same personal service and care they’ve come to expect.”
The integration of Johnston & Associates’ expertise with Warehaus’ resources will allow for an enhanced client experience, now supported by the additional strength and depth of a larger, growth-oriented team, per the release.
“Our immediate focus is on building trust,” Koratich said. “We’ll personally meet with each client to reassure them that their projects will continue seamlessly, with the same high level of service—backed by the added resources and expertise of Warehaus.”
Warehaus was founded in 1980 as Land Survey Consultants. The company has become a multi-disciplinary firm offering architecture, civil engineering and land planning, structural engineering, interior design, historic preservation, and building sciences services.
