Retirement communities finalize affiliation

“We are excited to announce that all the approvals required for two nonprofit organizations to affiliate have been received,” Garden Spot Communities CEO said in a statement. “We formally welcome Frederick Living into the Garden Spot Communities family.”

Garden Spot Communities’ collective footprint includes and in Lancaster County and Frederick Living in Montgomery County.

“We started this journey because both Frederick Living and Garden Spot Communities recognized that the world is changing faster today than ever before,” Lindsey said. “Both organizations believed that the era of the single site and small system organization is coming to a close.

“As we each looked for partners to leverage our experience and achieve a point of critical mass, we believed our mission-driven, faith-based organizations were a strong match. Our experience through the affiliation process has proven that belief to be true.”

Based in New Holland, Garden Spot Communities was founded in 1990 and offers a range of living options and services across Lancaster and Montgomery counties. Frederick Living was founded in 1896.
