R.W. Sauder, Inc. dba Sauder’s Eggs
Founded in the 1930s when Frank Sauder began delivering fresh produce, poultry and eggs from Lancaster County farms to Philadelphia, R.W. Sauder, Inc., doing business as Sauder’s Eggs, has grown into one of the nation’s leading egg wholesalers over more than 80 years in operation.
Based in Lititz, the company today partners with 60 farms, operates four production facilities and processes 1.1 billion eggs annually, employing a workforce of 375.
The company has remained family-owned across four generations. Frank Sauder was succeeded by his son Raymond, who joined the business in 1947, followed by grandson Paul and current President and CEO Mark Sauder. “Family leadership has focused on integrity, product quality, and fostering teamwork among employees and family farm partners,” the company says.
Looking ahead, Sauder’s Eggs has committed to advancing animal welfare and sustainability, including adopting in-ovo sexing technology and ending debeaking practices for new outdoor flocks. The company also continues to support family farms while meeting growing consumer demand for responsibly produced eggs.
