Physical Therapy Associates to join WellSpan Health System
Listen to this articlePhysical Therapy Associates will open as WellSpan Rehabilitation on July 1, York-based WellSpan Health System announced this week.
The practice includes two locations – one in Manheim at 93 Doe Run Road and one in Myerstown at 11 E. Lincoln Ave.
There are five physical therapists and two physical therapy assistants working between the two locations.
WellSpan Rehabilitation will provide orthopedic, sports medicine and neurological rehabilitation, as well as therapeutic exercise, functional training, electrical stimulation, soft tissue techniques and traction.
“WellSpan Health focuses on caring for patients when they are well, not just when they are sick. Our physical therapists work to treat patients so they can recover from injuries and illnesses and also avoid further health problems,” Troy Rang, WellSpan director of rehabilitation services said. “We are constantly looking for opportunities to serve patients in their own communities in this way. These two practices help us further meet that goal in Lancaster and Lebanon counties.”
By Physical Therapy Associates joining the health system, it now has a total of 22 WellSpan Rehabilitation practices across Lancaster, Lebanon, Adams and York counties.
