Mary Oliveira has been appointed as chief membership officer for the Pennsylvania Chamber of Business and Industry, a role which will see her spearhead the chamber’s efforts to deepen and broaden member relationships, officials said in an announcement this week.

Oliveira became the chamber’s director of membership in 2018 after more than a decade in the financial services sector and in sales leadership positions; she worked as senior business development manager at PSECU from 2007 to 2018, and from 1998 to 2007, she worked as a sales manager at Victoria’s Secret.

PA Chamber President and CEO Gene Barr said in a statement that the chamber has valued Oliveira’s approach to engage members of all sizes and across all industry sectors.

“She has truly articulated to them that their voice matters in terms of helping us understand the issues business leaders face in their communities each day, crafting our policy agenda and strengthening our presence at the state Capitol,” Barr said. “Mary understands that our members are at the heart of all we do, and we are excited to see her expand her leadership vision to our marketing efforts, as well.”
