The   market is gaining momentum heading into the . 

The housing market showed strong month-over-month growth in March 2026, with increases in listings, , and closed transactions, according to the latest report from the  (). 

“The March data reflects a healthy seasonal shift as we enter the spring market,” LCAR President Christina Diehl said in a statement. “We’re seeing more inventory come online, which is giving buyers more opportunities while prices remain strong.” 

The  for Lancaster County revealed that new listings rose to 470, an increase of 53.1% from February. Pending sales reached 425, a rise of 36.2%, and closed sales totaled 342, an increase of 23%. The report showed that despite this momentum, activity remained slightly below March 2025 levels. 

“While activity is slightly below last year, demand is still very much present,” said Diehl. “If inventory continues to grow, we could see a more balanced market in the months ahead.” 

Lancaster County home prices stayed strong, with the median sold price at $345,000, an increase of 4.4% year-over-year. Inventory increased to 535 active listings, giving buyers more options, while homes continued to sell quickly at 103.3% of list price on average. 

LCAR reported that as the house market is entering its traditional spring surge, rising inventory, and steady demand are positioning Lancaster County for a balanced and active season.
