York-based Kinsley Construction announced the completion of the Upper Allen Genius Kids Child Development Center in Mechanicsburg.
According to a release, the new facility will help meet growing childcare needs in the Mechanicsburg area, supporting working families while contributing to the community’s long-term economic and educational well-being. The center is expected to open in January 2026.
Kinsley Construction served as general contractor, and built the 8,500-square-foot facility, which includes an outdoor play area designed to support early childhood learning in a safe environment. Kinsley self-performed several key scopes of work, including concrete placement, steel erection, wood framing, and the installation of doors, frames and hardware.
Genius Kids Child Development Centers work to inspire every student to think, lead, and communicate, per the release. Their curriculum is designed to build self-esteem, confidence, and a strong foundation for lifelong learning, achievement, and care for others.
The project was completed in collaboration with K Care-UA LLC, BL Companies, Meister-Cox Architects, Entegra Solutions, and Keystone Structural Group.
