Lancaster-based Keystone Custom Homes and Charlotte, North Carolina-based Evans Coghill Homes announced that they have joined under the Keystone brand, effective Oct. 1.
The desire to expand their reach into the Carolinas and across the East Coast is the result of a personal and cultural match between the two companies and their founders, Alan Banks of Evans Coghill and Jeff Rutt of Keystone, a release said. That includes sharing a goal to fund faith-driven stewardship across the globe.
Keystone, a 30-year-old company that’s a multiple winner of America’s Best Builder Award, is already building in dozens of neighborhoods in Pennsylvania and northern Maryland.
It is now selling in three communities in greater Charlotte, with over 200 homesites in the development phase set for delivery within the next 18 months. Beyond the Charlotte area, the brand will reach into the northeast region of South Carolina, with prices ranging up to $1 million-plus with waterfront lots.
“This exciting changeover isn’t just a shift in company name or a boast about product, although both are vital to our identity,” said Banks, now division president.
“It is a new chance to grow our goodwill and maintain a presence of homebuilding excellence for generations to come.”
