Hospice of Central PA named 2025 Hospice Honors Elite recipient
Recognized for exceeding all 24 national patient satisfaction benchmarks
Award based on 2024 CAHPS scores measuring care quality and compassion
Hospice of Central PA has been named a recipient of the 2025 Hospice Honors Elite award for top-tier care, compassion, and patient satisfaction across 24 national benchmarks.
The national recognition is presented by HealthCare First, a part of MatrixCare.

According to a release, the honor celebrates Hospice of Central PA’s excellence in delivering compassionate, high-quality care, and fostering positive patient and caregiver experiences. MatrixCare offers software solutions for facility-based and home-based care organizations to improve efficiency and provide exceptional care.
The Hospice Honors Elite designation places Hospice of Central PA among the top-performing hospice organizations in the United States. The designation reflects outstanding performance as measured by the Hospice Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (CAHPS) satisfaction scores from calendar year 2024.
The Elite status is awarded to hospices that exceed national benchmarks across 24 out of 24 evaluated quality indicators related to patient and family satisfaction. Quality indicators range from communication with family to emotional and spiritual support, and training for family caregivers.
The Hospice CAHPS Honors program is a national initiative that spotlights hospice agencies that continuously deliver superior care experiences. By highlighting organizations that excel in patient satisfaction and quality care, the program sets a standard of excellence within the industry and celebrates those who go above and beyond in service to others.
Hospice of Central PA is a nonprofit hospice provider serving patients and families at end of life since 1979. The organization provides hospice and palliative care and bereavement support to people in Adams, Cumberland, Dauphin, Lancaster, Lebanon, Perry, Schuylkill, and York Counties, as well as parts of Berks, Chester and Franklin Counties.
