Downtown York restaurants see return of popular outdoor dining

Dining al fresco will be available at The Handsome Cab, Tutoni’s, Rockfish Public House, and Gift Horse Brewing Company.
Outdoor dining and street closures begin Friday, May 10, and continue each Friday and Saturday through Oct. 5, with the exclusion of First Fridays. Friday outdoor dining hours (excluding First Fridays) are 5:30 p.m.-10 p.m. and Saturdays 3 p.m.-10 p.m.
Hours of operations and standards for service will be posted by each restaurant to its social media or website. Reservations for the outdoor George Street seating will be handled by the individual restaurants. The closure of North George Street will be between W. Philadelphia St. and W. Gas Ave.
Outdoor dining in Downtown York became popular during COVID and has since become an annual weekend experience. Restaurants outside of George Street also offer outdoor dining in all three micro districts.
