Janeczek, who joined the board in 2012 and is an executive with Country Meadows Retirement Communities, will replace David Barensfeld, who is resigning to move into his new role as chairman of the board at Commonwealth Partners Chamber of Entrepreneurs.

Commonwealth Partners, which launches July 1, is a 501(c)(6), similar to a trade association or chamber of commerce. It will be more actively engaged in the political process and lobby for public policy issues.

The new organization is being led by Matt Brouillette, currently the president and CEO of the Commonwealth Foundation.

“Commonwealth Foundation is spearheading the reforms that will open the floodgates of opportunity for all Pennsylvanians — from education and pension reform to prison reform, the issue that first ignited my passion for the organization,” Janeczek said.
