Where to see the BIG fireworks tonight

Still undecided about whether you’ll head out for some fireworks tonight?  Here’s is a list of some of the bigger firework displays in our area.

Cumberland County

July 4 Shippensburg. Veterans Memorial Park, Park Place, at dusk. FREE.

Dauphin County

July 4 Riverfront, Harrisburg. Approximately 9:15 p.m. The culminating event of the Independence Day Food Truck Festival (3-9 p.m.), featuring music, delicious food, activities for children and the largest fireworks show in Central PA! FREE.

July 4 Hersheypark. 100 W. Hershey Park Drive, Hershey, 10:15 p.m. Included with admission to park.

Lancaster County

July 4 Lancaster, Clipper Magazine Stadium. 650 N. Prince St., immediately after the Lancaster Barnstormers game (starts at 6:30 p.m.) Included with admission price.

July 4 Lititz. Lititz Springs Park, 24 N. Broad St., 10:15 p.m. Admission charged for day-long event; gates open at noon; the crowds were lined up at 6 a.m. to put their blankets out on the viewing field. This year’s fireworks display, provided by Celebration, will be themed “CINEMAGIQUE: A Fantasy in Fireworks and Lasers.” $15, ages 10 and under free.

July 7 East Petersburg. East Petersburg Community Park, 6051 Pine St., 10:30 p.m. FREE. . Start the evening in the park with a live concert from 6:30-8:30 p.m., followed by the movie Leap! from 8:30-10:15 p./m., followed by fireworks!

Lebanon County

July 4 Lebanon. Coleman Memorial Park, 1400 W. Maple St., 9 p.m. Featuring a patriotic band concert. Food service will be provided as you wait for the evening fireworks.    FREE.

Mt. Gretna. Along Pennsylvania Avenue near the tennis courts, 9 p.m. Follows the 59th annual 4th of July Band Concert at the Gretna Playhouse (7 p.m., donations appreciated). Fireworks display FREE.

York County

July 4 Hanover. Moul Field, 403 Moul Avenue, Hanover. The fireworks will cap the community’s Liberty Day celebration, which will start with a 10k and then feature family games, music, food. Fireworks start at 9:30 p.m.  FREE.

July 4 Wrightsville. A day-long celebration that starts at 10 a.m. with a slew of family-fun activities planned throughout the day. Fireworks at 9:30 p.m.

 July 4 York. PeoplesBank Park, 5 Brooks Robinson Way, at dusk. Celebrate America’s birthday with America’s favorite pastime: baseball! Pregame festivities start at 3:45 p.m. on Brooks Robinson Plaza outside the ballpark. The Revolution’s game against the Sugar Land Skeeters starts at 5 p.m. After the game, there will be a Big Band performance followed by fireworks at 9:30 p.m.
