Midstate companies named a series of new hires this past week.

In business for more than 100 years, with the last 70 of them headquartered in Harrisburg, D&H Distributing is showing that it’s a lot more than its name implies. 

An affiliate of Endurance Real Estate Group LLC, in partnership with an affiliate of Guardian Life Insurance Company of America, announced the acquisition and beginning of construction of Chambersburg Logistics Park, a 1 million-plus-square-foot cross-dock warehouse/distribution facility.

Holla Spirits, a millennial-owned spirits company in York has expanded its Mid-Atlantic distribution agreement with Lanterna Distributors, Inc. to grow the company’s vodka brand in Virginia. 

To protect workers and reduce injuries and illnesses in the warehousing, storage and distribution industries, the U.S. Dept. of Labor’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) has launched the Regional Emphasis Program for Warehousing Operations in Pennsylvania, Delaware, Washington D.C. and West Virginia. 

U.S. Small Business Administration today said the Biden-Harris Administration exceeded its small business federal contracting goal, awarding $154.2 billion in contracts to small businesses. 

Despite high fuel costs and supply chain issues, Newmark Real Estate said the I-81/78 industrial market remains strong, with the central Pennsylvania market showing the strongest activity.

Harrisburg-based electronics wholesaler D&H Distributing is the fourth largest private company in Pennsylvania and the 84th largest in the country, according to the most recent Forbes List of America’s Largest Private Companies. 

For 50 years an electrical products distributor has called 256 West Walnut St. in Allentown home. 

Schaedler Yesco has expanded its Harrisburg-based central distribution center to more than 200,000 square feet after completing a 40-foot-tall, 40,000-square-foot addition.
