The deal brings with it three commercial locations and a Michelin Retread Technologies retread plant.

The Highlands family founded HTS in 1943 and was one of the first MRT retreading plants in North America, according to a press release.

Walter Dealtrey, president and CEO of STTC said the addition of HTS’s locations will allow the company to offer more coverage to its customer base.

“The addition of the three locations aligns with our growth strategy and gives us the opportunity to bring our industry-leading services to more fleet customers. With the Highlands MRT retread plant, we’ll be able to support our growth with better turnaround time while maintaining our high quality standards,” Dealtrey said.

All of Highland’s commercial business employees have joined STTC.

With the acquisition the company now has 53 commercial service and mechanical locations, four MRT retread plants and one Oliver retread plant throughout eight states in the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
