Newsmakers: Caldwell & Kearns P.C. names president

Accounting

East Pennsboro Township-based Boyer & Ritter and Consultants and its partner, Lower Allen Township-based LeTort Trust, named Jewel Cooper business development director. She will lead business development initiatives for each firm. She has more than 30 years of banking and finance experience and was business development officer and senior vice president with BB&T Bank.

Manheim Township-based Walz Group named Lynn Fitzsimons president. She has been with the firm since 2002 and was lead partner in the audit division. She is a graduate of Millersville University. Former President Brett Tennis will continue working with clients and advising Fitzsimons. He will also take over responsibility for quality assurance and expand his business development role.

Architecture/ engineering

Lititz-based ELA Group Inc. named Mark L. Henise director of transportation. He will oversee and coordinate the transportation department and continue to be responsible for traffic engineering projects. He was senior transportation engineer. He is a professional engineer, a certified professional traffic operations engineer and has a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Penn State.

New Jersey-based T&M Associates named Cindy Zawrotuk vice president and suburban Pennsylvania operations manager. She has more than 24 years of client service, operations and project management experience, and will work from the Lancaster office in East Lampeter Township. She will guide regional growth strategy and increase brand visibility. Previously, she led the Lancaster operations and the Pennsylvania water resources practice. She is a professional engineer and has a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Dayton.

Lancaster Chamber of Commerce & Industry affiliate Business Group on Health elected Tom Williams chairman, Regina Deel vice chairman, Jason Dennis Sr. secretary, James Maurer treasurer and Tim Shrom immediate past chair. Williams is controller with InteriorsHome in Lancaster; Deel is benefits manager with Conestoga Wood Specialties Corp.; Dennis is regional vice president with CoreSource; Maurer is vice president of finance with R.W. Sauder Inc.; and Shrom is business manager with Solanco School District. Banking/finance

Silver Spring Township-based AgChoice Farm Credit named Matt Meals an ag business consultant. He will work from the Cumberland Valley office in Chambersburg and focus on southcentral Pennsylvania customers. He owns and operates a beef and crop farm in Newville, Cumberland County, and was deputy secretary of animal agriculture for the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture. He has degrees in technology, agricultural business management, applied science and agricultural power machinery from SUNY Cobleskill.

Lower Allen Township-based Members 1st Federal Credit Union named Jeffrey Ernst vice president of consumer lending. He has 10 years of lending experience. Most recently, he was employed in student lending with CampusDoor Holdings Inc. He has bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Shippensburg University.

Construction

Harrisburg-based HB McClure Co. named Brandy Shope corporate director of human resources. She will develop the company’s leadership and enhance internal communications and employee empowerment. She was team leader and chief growth consultant at Keller Williams Realty and executive director of selection for Northwest Mutual. She is assistant women’s volleyball coach at York College of Pennsylvania, from which she has a degree.

York-based Wagman Construction named Dan Confer client services associate/higher education. He will identify and develop opportunities to work with colleges and universities on projects. He has more than 15 years of higher education experience, a bachelor’s degree from Dickinson College and a master’s degree in organizational development and leadership from Shippensburg University.

East Hempfield Township-based Warfel Construction Co. named Michael Hendershott mechanical, electrical and plumbing coordinator. He will work with the project team to ensure the best mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems results. He was an estimator.

Economic development

York-based Downtown Inc named Stacy McClain marketing and events coordinator. She will support Downtown Inc’s community events and promotions and oversee its marketing and communications. She was programs director for the Parliament Arts Organization. She has a bachelor’s degree from the Art Institute of York.

Government affairs

Harrisburg-based Crisci Associates named Donald L. Smith a government relations manager. He was the government relations manager for the Pennsylvania Pharmacists Association. He has a bachelor’s degree in political science from Penn State Harrisburg.

Health care

WellSpan Health named Dr. Lindsey Goetz a physician with WellSpan Family Medicine – Meadowbrook in Upper Leacock Township. Most recently she was medical director of the Family Health Clinic at the Vance Air Force Base in Enid, Okla. She has a medical degree from Penn State College of Medicine.

Insurance

York Township-based Glatfelter Insurance Group named Joseph Myers an Eastern region sales executive with its Glatfelter Healthcare Practice. He will provide agents with products and resources to help increase sales and improve client services in the senior living, hospice and home health business. He has 30 years of industry experience.

Law

Susquehanna Township-based law firm Caldwell & Kearns P.C. elected Peter M. Good president. He is a commercial litigation partner and focuses primarily on construction, real estate and employment matters.
