Linlo Properties is a family owned and operated real estate business started by Linda and Lowell Gates in 1992. It’s headquartered in Camp Hill and has over 50 employees including the couple’s daughter, Emily Tarbell, who serves as COO.

Linda Gates bio on the company website indicates she is actively “involved in the day-to-day financial operations of Linlo Properties; as well as overseeing ongoing construction/remodeling projects with the Construction and Property Management team. Prior to Linlo, Linda helped build the foundation for Gates, Halbruner, Hatch & Guise P.C law firm serving as Bookkeeper, Accounting, and Office Manager. Building a vast rapport in the Finance, Human Resource, and Office Management Linda’s skills became transferrable to all aspects of her life – even her membership in several nonprofit organizations.”
When asked about the greatest challenges women in leadership experience for a March 2019 CPBJ profile, Linda Gates said, “Being stereotyped as weak, emotional and indecisive. I believe these challenges to be internal. When you are confronted with a problem or a task – dive into it immediately. Putting the hard choices to the bottom of the pile does nothing to encourage those in your organization. Make a decision – it doesn’t have to be perfect! But the more you do, over time you will be able to tackle harder and harder issues.”
