Lebanon County NAACP to host Freedom Gala

The will host its second annual on Saturday.

The gala is scheduled to be held from 6 -9 p.m., at the WEPA Empowerment Center ballroom, at 9 South Ninth St. in downtown . The event will feature Black-owned businesses, including a soul food dinner from Aunt Hocker’s Fish Fry Catering, music performed by the Michael Kitchen Band, and a photo booth provided by MillionDollar$hots.

Wine from ‘s first Black-owned winery, Mark & Val Wines, will also be available.

“Inspired by ‘s unwavering commitment to equality and justice for all Americans, we in the Lebanon County Branch of the NAACP are delighted to host our Second Annual Freedom Fund Gala,” Branch President, said in a statement.

“We warmly invite all community members to join us in celebrating the achievements of Black people in our community and the ties that bind us all together as a nation.”

is the featured speaker for this year’s gala. Washington is an educator, community leader, chair of the education committee for the , and owner of SRW Consulting Firm, LLC.
