Lancaster firm merging with Paoli company

Lancaster-based RGS Associates, a land planning, landscape architecture, and civil engineering firm, announced the completion of its merger with Glackin Thomas Panzak (GTP) of Paoli. 

According to a release, the strategic move marks the culmination of a two-year merger and increases the firm’s capabilities as it expands across Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware. Over 30 projects have been added to the RGS Associates website, and new service categories include the introduction of Institutional, Private Residence, and Site Amenity categories. 

The brand unification combines GTP’s land planning and landscape architecture with RGS Associates’ engineering and design services. The merger expands the firm’s ability to serve clients across a broader region, from Harrisburg to Philadelphia and beyond. 

“This brand unification is a pivotal moment for RGS Associates,” Managing Principal of RGS Associates Joel Snyder said in a statement. “By bringing GTP’s resources under our umbrella, we’re significantly enhancing our capabilities and expanding our reach into new territories.” 

Bernard Panzak, principal of RGS and one of the founders of GTP, said the brand unification means access to a broader range of expertise and resources for GTP clients. 

“The same dedicated professionals our clients have worked with over the years will continue to serve them, but they are now backed by the additional capabilities of the RGS team,” said Panzak. “It’s truly the best of both worlds – familiar faces and expanded services.” 

The RGS Associates website features an updated an expanded client list, an awards section, and three new project categories: 

• Institutional: Creating inspiring spaces for educational, municipal, and nonprofit settings. 

• Private Residence: Designing tailored outdoor environments that enhance home value and lifestyle. 

• Site Amenity: Developing engaging landscapes that foster community interaction and add enduring value to properties.
