Members of the Central Pennsylvania House Delegation will meet with leaders of Tec Centro Workforce Network to discuss labor force growth in Midstate counties.
The meeting was announced Thursday by State Rep. Manuel Guzman Jr., chair of the Central Pennsylvania House Democratic Delegation. Directors from York, Lebanon, Lancaster and Harrisburg extensions will also be participating in the meeting, scheduled for 10 a.m. on Jan. 27 at Tec Centro Capital Region at 1426 N. Third Street in Harrisburg.
Guzman said one of the top priorities of the delegation during the 2025-26 legislative term is to help strengthen workforce and skill development in Central Pennsylvania.
“Our delegation is invested in fortifying resources and services that will help empower underserved communities and, in this sense, the role of Tec Centro in each of the counties that they serve is remarkable,” Guzman said in a statement. “These institutions are enabling individuals to break language and economic barriers to education. They are helping people to navigate the state’s system and place themselves in a path toward a better future.”
Carlos Graupera, CEO of Tec Centro Workforce, said Tec Centro Workforce Network was founded on the mission of empowering individuals with the skills they need to transform their lives and drive the economic vitality of the region.
“We are excited to share insights into our work with the delegation,” said Graupera. “Workforce development is the cornerstone of economic prosperity and community growth.”
Graupera added that the network will also take the opportunity to unveil updates about programs and services and key alliances in Harrisburg that will help advance Tec Centro Capital Region’s goals.
Tec Centro Workforce Network is comprised of six locations in Central Pennsylvania.
“This work thrives on collaboration – our partnerships with government, businesses, educational institutions, and community organizations are the foundation of sustainable progress,” said Graupera. “Together, we are building a future where opportunity meets preparation, creating lasting impacts for individuals, families, and our economy.”
Scheduled speakers include Guzman Jr.; Graupera; Robert Torres, Tec Centro Capital Region, executive director; Julia Ansel, Tec Centro Lebanon, workforce program manager; Alice Ann Frost, Tec Centro York, executive director; and Marlyn Barbosa, Tec Centro Lancaster, executive director.
