Managing Partner and Attorney
Barley Snyder LLP
Jennifer Craighead Carey has been an attorney for 31 years, but managing partner for one, and has devoted her time to those two roles at the firm.
“As managing partner, I serve as the firm’s CEO, responsible for daily operations and strategic direction,” Craighead-Carey said. “As an attorney, I concentrate my practice on management side labor and employment law. I thoroughly enjoy the balance of my dual roles as an attorney and as managing partner, finding fulfillment in delivering legal solutions for clients and steering the firm’s growth and success.”
In 2024, Craighead-Carey said her most significant achievement was completing her first year as managing partner. “Leading the firm has been both challenging and rewarding, focusing on client service and fostering a positive workplace culture,” she said. “I’ve overseen operations, driven growth, and balanced strategic decisions with team dynamics. I’m proud of our progress and eager to continue building on this foundation in the year ahead.”
“We are operating in a time of uncertainty which can make compliance a challenge for employers,” Craighead-Carey said. “Employers are navigating issues such as remote/hybrid work challenges; data protection, employee privacy and cyber risks; increased scrutiny around initiatives related to diversity, equity and inclusion; immigration law compliance and a shifting of enforcement priorities among government regulatory agencies.”
