Harrisburg-based Statewide Partners has broken ground on a Heritage Crossings revitalization project in York City.
The real estate development and services company unveiled plans for Heritage Crossings to be a hub of residential living, shopping and dining options within the Northwest Triangle.
“At the heart of our approach to development is a commitment to creating spaces and experiences that will contribute to community improvement and economic advancement,” Josh Juffe, principal of Statewide Partners, said in a statement. “We also deeply value the importance of understanding, honoring and respecting the significance of each site’s heritage and how that has shaped the community.
“As a new multi-use residential, commercial and retail site, Heritage Crossings will celebrate the region’s rich history and stand ready to support its continued revitalization into the future,” added Juffe.
Four strategic construction phases are planned for the project. According to a release, construction is underway on Phase I, which will feature 139 residences and 20,000 square-feet of commercial and retail space for local and regional restaurateurs, retailers, and business owners.
Planning is underway for future phases, including additional residences and retail space, a walkable boulevard and a landmark site poised to support continued economic growth of York City. Statewide Partners plans to unveil more details about the additional phases in early 2025.
“It is so exciting to take part in the commencement of development of the last remaining parcels of the 25-year Northwest Triangle development strategy,” York Mayor Michael Helfrich said. “This project will greatly increase our downtown residential and retail amenities, while connecting our northern neighborhoods and WellSpan Stadium with our downtown Market District.”
