PennSpring Capital, a people-focused investment firm specializing in lower middle-market opportunities, is excited to welcome Stephen Loiseau as Vice President of Corporate Development. Loiseau will drive both organic and inorganic growth across PennSpring’s portfolio companies, with an initial focus on two key initiatives: PSST, an ACA compliance software solution headquartered in Louisville, KY, and EHC Associates, an environmental contractor based in Lancaster, PA.

Loiseau brings a strong background in corporate development, investment, and revenue growth, having worked at a Cloud Top 100 startup and leading a real estate investment platform that secured a $150M joint venture.

Loiseau holds a degree from Drexel University, where he captained the men’s Division 1 wrestling team, and remains active in the Lancaster community as a coach for Franklin & Marshall College’s wrestling team.

If you had not chosen your current profession, what profession would you choose and why?

I’d likely be an Investment Banker or a Sales Executive. I have a strong passion for business and growth, and both roles align with my drive to help organizations scale and succeed. The challenge of identifying opportunities, driving results, and building meaningful relationships excites me. It’s all about finding ways to create value and push boundaries, which is something I truly enjoy.

What was a recent (or favorite) vacation you took?

A recent vacation was a trip to Salt Lake City, Utah, with a few high school friends. We spent a couple of days hiking in Zion National Park. It was a great blend of adventure and reconnecting with old friends.

What do you do when you want to relax?

I coach wrestling at all levels – from elementary through college. Wrestling is a sport that builds not only physical strength, but also key life qualities like accountability, persistence, and confidence. Coaching allows me to give back to the sport while helping young athletes grow both on and off the mat. It’s fulfilling to see them develop, and it brings me a sense of balance and purpose.
