A Central Pennsylvania college is offering a tuition discount on educational programs for Community Action professionals.
Elizabethtown College’s School of Graduate and Professional Studies (SGPS) has partnered with the Community Action Association of Pennsylvania (CAAP) to offer a 15% tuition discount on educational programs. The programs are designed to enhance the skills and professional development of all employees and members of CAAP, along with their spouses and dependents.
“The immense value that the employees provide at their member agencies across the state can’t be understated and is incredibly appreciated,” Elizabethtown College Director of Corporate Partnerships Chris D’Imperio said in a statement. “We are honored to give back to these individuals and their families the opportunity to take advantage of exceptional educational opportunities through our School of Graduate and Professional Studies.”
CAAP is a statewide membership organization representing 42 Community Action Agencies in Pennsylvania. According to a release, the organization helps low-income individuals and families reach and maintain self-sufficiency.
“We’re excited to partner with Elizabethtown College to expand educational opportunities for Community Action professionals across Pennsylvania,” said Beck Moore, CEO, Community Action Association of Pennsylvania. “Investing in the professional growth of the staff strengthens our agencies’ impact and reflects our shared commitment to developing strong leaders and building resilient communities throughout the commonwealth.”
The tuition discount will apply to SGPS undergraduate and graduate-level programs, as well as Etown Edge. The latter is a micro-credentialing platform that offers over 300 affordable courses through self-paced modules across a variety of fields.
Etown SGPS offers a Graduate Certificate in Non-Profit Leadership, designed to equip and support current and aspiring non-profit leaders who are committed to making a positive impact in their communities.
The four-course, 12-credit graduate certificate was developed in partnership with The High Center at Elizabethtown College’s Nonprofit Center. It provides learners with expertise in financial stewardship, fundraising, ethical governance, board management, storytelling, and legislative advocacy.
