Lancaster-based Community First Fund, together with FINANTA, has promoted Lydia Walker to senior vice president, chief Development & Impact officer.
This promotion acknowledges the critical role of fund development, community partnerships and impact storytelling in the company’s organizational growth, Community First Fund said.
“Lydia has demonstrated exceptional leadership and dedication throughout her eleven years with us. Her experience and strategic vision will play a pivotal role as we continue to advance our mission across the Greater Philadelphia region,” Dan Betancourt, president and CEO of Community First Fund together with FINANTA, said in a statement.
Walker joined the organization leading the Women’s Business Center. Over the years, she gained extensive experience in various capacities, including loan administration, credit analysis, lending, and development, the organization said.
She was promoted to vice president in 2022, managing the development, program compliance and impact, and marketing and communications departments.
In her new role, Walker will lead the impact model and economic justice work and set the strategic vision for capital raising, marketing and communications and impact assessment, Community First Fund said. She will lead her teams in the implementation of key priorities that ensure sound marketing practices, impact alignment and strong capitalization.
Prior to joining the organization, Walker spent 10 years in international development work including serving as Country director for Community Empowerment Solutions and Social Entrepreneur Corps in Guatemala, and as a Peace Corps volunteer in Guatemala.
Lydia holds a B.S. in Geology from Union College.
